Our hut sits at the highest point of one of the most beautiful circular hikes in the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park. If you’re up for it, you can even add a detour to Ahrnerkopf (3,051 m) during the ascent through Wind Valley – totally worth it! Start at the parking lot in Kasern near Holy Spirit, follow trail no. 12, and after about 3 hours, you’ll be up here with us. For the descent, we recommend the flower-filled Red Valley (trail no. 11, about 2 hours), passing old mining tunnels and heading back to the parking lot. Of course, the route is just as stunning in reverse!
